Notifications
Configure and manage WoPora notifications --- in-app alerts and email summaries for key workforce events.
Notifications
WoPora sends notifications to keep managers and staff informed about important workforce events. Navigate to Dashboard -> Notifications to view your notification inbox, or Settings -> Notifications to configure preferences.
Notification Types
For Managers & Admins

| Timesheet submitted | An employee submits a timesheet for approval |
| Timesheet resubmitted | An employee resubmits after rejection |
| Leave request | An employee submits a leave request |
| Shift swap request | An employee requests a shift swap |
| Availability change | An employee updates their unavailability |
| Compliance alert | A timesheet or roster triggers a compliance rule |
| Clock anomaly | Buddy punch detected or clock outside geofence |
| Pay run ready | A pay run is ready to review |
| Device offline | A kiosk goes offline |
For Staff

| Leave approved / declined | Manager acts on a leave request |
| Roster published | A new roster is published for the employee's shifts |

| Shift reminder | Upcoming shift alert (configurable lead time) |
Viewing Notifications
The bell icon in the top navigation bar shows a badge with the count of unread notifications. Click it to open the notification panel.
- Click any notification to jump directly to the relevant record
- Click Mark all as read to clear the badge
The full notification history is at Dashboard -> Notifications.
Notification Preferences
- Go to Dashboard -> Notifications -> Preferences (or profile avatar -> Notification Settings)
- For each notification type, choose: In-app, Email, Both, or Off
- Save
Email Notifications
Emails include a summary of the event and a direct link to take action in WoPora.
Daily Digest
Instead of individual emails per event, choose a daily digest that batches all notifications into one email:
- Go to Notification Preferences
- Set your email preference to Daily Digest
- Choose the delivery time (default: 7:00 AM your time zone)
Organisation Notification Settings
Admins can configure notification behaviour for the whole organisation under Settings -> Notifications:
- Enable/disable specific notification types for all users
- Set default delivery channels
- Configure shift reminder lead times (e.g., 24h before, 2h before)
- Set compliance alert thresholds
